The room was dark and stuffy, reflecting the mood of the impending visit. A thin, frail Arctic native man lay in the bed, looking weak, and doubtless sick with the disease that would usher him into eternity. Even in his pitiful condition you could see that in yesteryear he was a stout and strong man.
